For my WordPress website/blog, I have decided to create something that be functional for both this class and my Digital Media Law class.  In my Digital Media Law class, I have the task of studying a legal issue relating to digital media. Given my background and the resources I believe this could provide, I have chosen my topic on Museum copyright issues.

I have various ideas about the aesthetic aspect of a website/blog like this, but primarily I’d like it to serve as a blog, with the feel of a website. Because of the subject matter, I want to keep the design elements simple, nothing too flashy, but with some vibrant imagery to demonstrate the issues being address, as it will be heavily content focused. The goal is to have people approach it as resource, or contribute to the dialogue and post their own concerns, creating a resource for people in the Museum field.

In regards to themes, I’m still exploring something that will fit with the content and overall theme in relation to the content.  Currently I am hosting the traveling theme at the moment.  I do like the colors, but it’s obviously the wrong theme for the content.

Here’s a list of plugins I have an interest in incorporating:

•    Twitter Tools – a feed on Museum issues, which will require me to set up a Twitter account, specifically focusing on Museums. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tools/
•    JR Ratings – allows user to rate posts. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jr-ratings/
•    JR TellYourFriends – in an effort to help promote the site. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jr-tellyourfriends/
•    JR Digg – allowing readers to share the posts through Digg. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jr-digg/
•    Table of Contents Creator – allows the viewer to find contents easier http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=JR&sort=top-rated
•    JR YouTube – to show videos relevant to topics on this blog. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php/page/4?q=JR&sort=top-rated

Blog URL: http://noellawoodcom.fatcow.com/uwwebtools/

A question I have:
1. Is the Fat Cow URL what I am always supposed to use to access the site? I can’t log in through WordPress, my username and password we created the day we did our all day work shop does not work.
